Initial aero testing on the 10% model revealed a small boundary layer stagnation area in the cooling ducts. The duct exits have now been re-profiled and are ready for further testing. The rear wing, upper elements, are performing well. The next set of tests will focus on the diffuser / lower rear wing elements. Front suspension work on the full-size mock-up is progressing well with completion of suspension /rocker pick-up points, a lower wishbone and front upright /hub assembly.

X2s Progress Update
Work on the X2s sports car is progressing well with the completion of a 1/10th scale model and further development of the full-size mock-up /seating buck. The mock-up now has all bulkheads in place, plus pedals, wiring looms and steering in progress. Last month we completed the prototype gear linkage and finalised engine mountings for the Mazda V6 powertrain. The car will feature an advanced aerodynamic /mechanical package which has been specifically designed with sprints and hill-climbs in mind. The monocoque will be constructed from carbon /aluminium composites and will also feature carbon /Kevlar bodywork for high strength /stiffness coupled with low weight. The next phase will see low-speed aero testing commence on a 10% tunnel model which should help us finalise lift /drag and centre-of -pressure characteristics.
